Insta Friday: Nature in Prague

As the season started my posts on blog will slow dow, as I would not be able to spend my time at the computer. But I will do my best to keep the blog alive during summer at least with Insta Friday posts :-).

Spring – in fact the last days it is more summer – is coming to Prague and for my Insta Friday post I have selected couple of Instagram sights for sore eyes from Prague. Some of them are yet from winter but the others are bringing bloom to our life.

Vilnius

Please find my photo blog about Vilnius with lots of shots and juste a few words in Czech about Vilnius.

Vilnius, gothic complex of churches so beautiful, that Napoleon wanted to take them home with him

Vilnius is a capital city of Lithuania and it is beautiful baroque city, with cozy atmosphere and nice streets.

Please follow the link here: Vilnius.

Rumšiškés

Today I want to take ayou for a visit to one of the nicest Open Air museums Rumšiškés. It is located in Lithuania, on the hill above Kaunas sea (lake, in fact :-)). Museum was opened in 1966 and it has about 50 buildings mapping the village life in 4 parts of Lithuania. I love wooden buildings and wooden crosses, the place is so lovely. Enjoy my shots.

Travel theme: The Four Elements

I decided that for The Four Elements Travel Theme I will not present here four different shots, but I chose one shot which combines all elements in eternal balance :-). The shot was taken in South Moravia (Eastern part of Czech Republic) in Lednice, are with beautiful castles and also nature gifts, water-tables, forests, meadows.

The earth is represented with trees and small mountains at the back of the shot.

The air is shown at the sky and clouds.

Water is the lake bosom and fire is the sun hidden behind the clouds and reflecting in the water.

A Word A Week Challenge – Mountain

For Mountain‘s challenge I take you to the highest mountains we have in Czech Republic. Their name is Krkonoše and they are located at the north part of our country. The highest peak, Sněžka (Snowy hill), is the Czech Republic’s highest point with an elevation of 5,256 ft (1,602 m). I visited it few years ago in April, when Spring was coming, weather was beautiful, flowers started to bloom and the peaks were still covered with snow, the springs were full of crystal clear water.

In winter you can ski there, hike during summer / spring, but you can also go on horses :-).

How to travel there, if not by walk

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Above

This weekend I took my camera for awhile to my mother’s garden, to make shots for Weekly Photo Challenge: From Above. I really love tulips (not only) and here they are for you from above.

Weekly Image Of Life: Nature’s Bliss

For Weekly Image Of Life: Nature’s Bliss I take you to Western Bohemia for a short walk at the small village Bor u Tachova, just a few kilometers from the border with Germany. It is April, nature is waking up, water is cold and quick, grass and flowers are getting green … enjoy :-).

Travel theme: Roads

There were two months without a sign of sun and finally the sun has come to Prague this weekend and now it shines strongly through my window. And I can’t think about any other place but South Bohemia and I hope I will get there asap with my family. Therefore, for Travel Theme: Roads I take you there again, like in my previous post for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Rainbow Colors. South Bohemia has very fresh air, beautiful nature, colorful towns (yes, I wrote about it last time, I am  just full of it…). Look at the roads in woods and fields there.

In the Rainbow post I invited you to take a walk around Golden Canal in Třeboň, here you have a picture how it looks there.

The orientation in the nature is simple here, you just follow the touristic signs.

Another nice walk – combination of city and nature walk is around Vltava river in Český Krumlov, you can also go by boat there.

For another theme Industrial I took you to the tour through breweries, and one of them was Platan (=plane-tree in English) brewery, named after plane-tree alley. This alley leads to the brewery premises, here is the picture of this beautiful place located in town Protivín.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Love

This was the year when I was dating my husband, we were in love (we still have been :-)) and I went to Montenegro without him. I was thinking about him all the time and I wanted to make him a calender full of hearts, full of my love. Therefore I tried to collect as many shots of hearts as possible. It was not really easy, sometimes it is really difficult to find a heart on the shot. But it shows the love I have for my husband, which is sometime hidden, it is not perfect, but it’s there :-).
