Travel theme: Light

For Travel Theme Light I have for you some more shots from my Winter Airing at Prague Castle, more can be found at one of my previous posts here.

The first gallery is the game of the light at Prague Castle, shadow and light, sun above the Krocín’s fountain at the second courtyard and the third you have already seen, but it is so beautiful that I show it again, sun coming through the stained glass window in St. Vitus Cathedral

Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral

And when you walk down from Prague Castle, you can see the buildings’ shadows on the opposite site of the street, thanks to the light; sun under the Charles Bridge in Čertovka channel and sunset from the Charles Bridge.

All beautiful photos, Katy, but I especially like the stained glass and the one with the shadows on the buildings.

Thank you for visiting so often and ‘liking’ so much, Katy. Yes the cathedral window is magnificent. There’s something about church windows and stained glass that begs to be photographed. 🙂

Yes, I concur and agree – the St. Vitus Cathedral stained glass shot is superb. All the photos are very well done, and they all really show ‘the play of light’ well, in your beuatiful city of Prague – if ever I’m able to travel to Europe, Prague will be on the list. And if you are able to get to Seattle and Washington state in the U.S , make sure to travel the few hours north to Vanouver, Briitsh Columbia in Canada I just noticed you commented about this on NW Frame of Mind.

Thanks for another wonderful post Katy.

Light awakens our soul to rejoice and be inspired. Beautiful. The castle, the cathedral, the bridge and the shimmering water….something you just don’t forget.

I wanted to let you know that I finally got to Prague and wanted to share with you my photos – especially of Charles Bridge – as I remember you saying you’d be interested in seeing any images.

My world – what a beautiful city – like a wonderful dreamworld.
