Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Reds and Greens

Garden Centre in Prague 6

Garden Centre in Prague 6

I have decided to be a part of Cee’s Funs Foto Challenge, the topic is Reds and Greens, for more info you can look at this link. I chose to find reds and greens in Prague, which made the challenge more difficult for me, and I hope I did it well.

My first photos are from the biggest and maybe also the most beautiful garden center in Prague, they also have the nicest decorations there.

The second photo is from the celebration of St. Patrick’s day in Prague. In fact we are not from Ireland, we just like to celebrate. So sometimes we are green :-).

At Prague Castle you can visit historical offices of Land Rolls, there is a small library with beautifuly decorated books. They are not art books but the laws and property ownerships were written in them. Here you find a small detail of the library.

The next shot is even smaller detail from the stained glas window in St. Vitus cathedral, also at Prague Castle. These flower are from the bottom of one of the new windows, and when I say “new”, I mean only 100 year old, the old windows are from 14th-15th centuries.

My very favorite place in Prague is a hidden rose garden of a monastery, very close to crowded Wenceslass square, the oasis of peace.

In another park, Stromovka, we celebrate also some feasts that are not connected with our history. On the picture you can find a detail from rich dining table during Dia de Los Muertos celebration. You can read more about this feast here.

Stunning green in Prague ZOO; we have a seal herd and every day you can watch them making special show. This picture is after the show, when seals enjoy swimming in the water.

The last picture is not from Prague, it is from city Kroměříž about 250 km from Prague, with archibishop castle and unique gardens (writte at UNESCO World Herritage List), this shot was taken at these gardens, just a small detail.

I’m intrigued ….lol … were those RedandGreen Land Rolls books next to each other or did you do a bit of an artistic book shuffle 😀
